If a waiter stopped by right now to take your order, what cocktail or drink are you having? A Pina Colada. I've had the song stuck in my head for weeks.
I've been spending quite a bit of time writing at Band Weblogs and also spreading the word about the Guest Music Bloggers section there.
Guest Music Blogging at BandWeblogs.com is a great way for bands to spread the word about what they're up to by submitting band news, band introductions, gigs, reviews, new releases, press, tour dates, music, video links and more - and it's free.
Members who have submitted guest blogger entries so far have included music management companies, pr and entertainment companies, bands and artists, fans and record companies.
It's been great reading about and discovering new bands and their music!
If you're in a band and/or have music news, why not register as a Guest Music Blogger and add your blog entry?

Dave and I just recorded our latest Band Weblogs Podcast Show - #24. We had a blast doing it and played some great music by three bands that happen to be based in the states.
We're also running a promotional giveaway with Ariel Publicity:
BandWeblogs.com and Ariel Publicity are giving away a Scotty Don't Prize Pack to one lucky winner. The prize pack includes two Scotty Don't t-shirts and one Scotty Don't CD. The promotion runs from Monday April 23, 2007 and ends Monday April 30, 2007. All you have to do to enter is email scottydontgiveaway@yahoo.com and include your name, email address, mailing address and contact phone number. Ariel Publicity will randomly select one email and will then contact the winner. The winner will be announced on BandWeblogs.com.
Scotty Don't is a band from Providence, Rhode Island and they are also known as Badfish - A Tribute to Sublime. They have a great sound and we really enjoyed playing their song, "Front Porch" on the show.
Two other cool bands were also featured on the podcast show - The Stone Coyotes and Better Chemistry as well as random banter from us.
We've been recording our latest track, "Look At Me Now".
At first we were just going to keep it simple and acoustic but we started to 'hear things' so decided to colour it in.
Dave is coming up with a bass line and a possible guitar lead and I think I'll be laying down some sort of keyboard/cello sound along with some backup.
I've been writing songs for years now, and I think this is the first song that I've ever felt that maybe this one is a bit too revealing and almost leaves me with the feeling of wanting to shelve it. But of course, at this point we're too excited about it for me to even mention that to Dave...I know that if I tell him my concerns he'll just encourage me to sing it all the more. Which is cool.

Just watched Bill Withers on the BBC the other night. They aired a live concert of him performing with his band in 1974. Brilliant, brilliant stuff.

Do you believe there is intelligent life on other planets?
Hmmm...I hope so, as long as they're nice.
We did an interview awhile ago with CBS owned KYOU Radio.
They're based in San Francisco and we basically found each other through podcasts. Dave and I host the Band Weblogs Podcast Show where we play unsigned and independent bands and artists as well as our own music every now and then with random banter between the two of us.

KYOURadio.com will rotate our 30 minute podcast shows at various times during the week amongst others. They also play podcasts over their medium wave radio station in San Francisco on 1550AM.
Jon Russell from KYOU gave us a call one night and asked us, The Babylon Cowboys, a few questions about our music.

What's the last compliment you gave and/or received?
Submitted by MalieKai.
I told my friend that he is a genius drummer.
Dave and I recorded "In My Mind" with the intention that we would 'dub it up' with a dance feel.
A great song for the summer while dancing in the clubs! The sound of people in the background was originally recorded via my digital camera when a few of us were hanging out at The Star pub in Oxford.
